Non-Profits Need To Be Heard

September 19, 2014 By admin

Nonprofits make our cummunities better PDF

Variety is the spice of life. There is a special interest organization for almost every activity that you can think of. Many types of non-profits help our communities in different ways. You can think of several in each category below:

  • Trade or Professional Associations
  • Community Organizations
  • Charities
  • Civic Leagues
  • Religious Organizations
  • Social/Recreation Clubs
  • Veterans Organizations

With so many good causes and interest groups out there, how can you get your message out and be heard?  We recommend hosting a website, create an email distribution list, engage through social media, and, of course, tell your friends and neighbors. We can design, develop, and host your website so people can find out more information about your organization. We recommend using social media to promote your events and causes, engage with potential interested parties, and curate items of interest for your audience. You don’t have the time or experience to accomplish all of that?  We can help.

To help clients lower operating costs, as well as risks, we use industry standard Business Process Management (BPM) approaches to establish business processes designed to meet specific goals.  Established business processes lower risks and costs by providing documented processes which are repeatable, measurable, and flexible so they can be optimized to a changing environment.

We lead improvement activities which plan, measure, and evaluate specific business processes to optimize business resources resulting in lower long term operating costs.

Our methodology is based on the proven advantages of industry accepted management disciplines including CMMI, ISO, ITIL, PMI, LEAN, and Six Sigma. All of these disciplines were developed and have been refined by major colleges, industry, and leading business organizations to meet specific requirements. Most were initially developed for specific industries and many morphed into general management techniques which are now applied across a variety of businesses.  All have best practices which, when integrated correctly, can produce superior results with a low upfront investment.

Georgia Business Intelligence, llc is an active member of the Georgia Grown program. Our values and objectives align very closely with those of the Georgia Grown program. We work with clients in rural Georgia to establish sustainable business processes enabling them to successfully prosper and grow their businesses which contributes to thriving sustainable communities.

Georgia Grown is an economic development and marketing program created by the Georgia Department of Agriculture that seeks to create desire, and increase demand for Georgia’s products. It is a statewide advocate and resource for locally grown sustainable business processes to connect buyers and sellers in Georgia’s largest industry, Agriculture.

What is Georgia Grown?

  • A program for producers to join together and more efficiently bring their products to agribusinesses, institutions and consumers.
  • A means for producers to connect with and learn how to package and distribute their products for large business/institutions.
  • A powerful, statewide database and website that makes it easy to find agri-tourism, farmers markets and other agri-businesses by product, location and target audience

Georgia Grown positively impacts every business and community that operates from the Farm to the Table and that’s a lot of business. Georgia Agriculture is a $73B industry. It’s the state’s largest business sector and one of its most innovative and progressive industries technically. Well over half our state’s population directly or indirectly depends on the Agricultural industry for their livelihood.

When Georgia’s agriculture industry prospers, Georgia’s citizens thrive.  When we spend our dollars locally with hometown producers and at area Farmer’s Markets those purchases fuel the local economy and keeps the prosperity in our local communities. Purchases of imported items sends most of the money overseas.

Our locally grown food is fresher, undergoes stricter food safety compliance, and just tastes better knowing it is grown in Georgia. Plus, remember most of those purchasing dollars stay in the community and growing businesses create more jobs to employ us, our friends, and families. What’s not to like about Georgia Grown?  All you need to know about the Georgia Grown program and Georgia Grown products can be found here: http://www.georgiagrown.com/
